Founded over 25 years ago as an administration and trust company, VBF extended its operations to the health insurance market with the ongoing servicing of FKB. The companies are headed by Manfred Foser, a tax consultant with a penchant for IT, who began using uniPaaS application platform technology in the mid 1980’s to develop and deploy a range of applications for the group.

Challenge

The process of acquiring and merging the companies presented the challenge of modernizing FKB’s IT operations. In particular, Foser wanted to introduce new accounting and health insurance applications to take advantage of Information Technology in dealing with the constant changes to health invoice processing and control.
