Magic's Integration Platform Brings Fast and Affordable Integration to the Italian Free Press
“iBOLT is exactly what we were looking for—a tool that enables us to separate the core elements of our business processes from the rapid evolution of the IT layer and integrate them effectively. Thanks to LabSo Informatica, we’ve achieved this target in a fast and cost-saving way.”
Francesco Pellegrino, IT Manager and B&P Editori
B&P Editori S.r.l., with its 14 subsidiaries, is the Italian leader in the free press publications market. Operating throughout Italy since 1990, B&P Editori distributes various publications, including Attico, VetrinaMotori, and NauticMarket.
B&P Editori is also active on the Web, running several portals, including a ttico.it, prendicasa.it, vetrinamotori.it, as well as offering the OfficeCasa online management solution for real estate professionals.
The B&P Editori group has grown rapidly in recent years, during which time each subsidiary has adopted different departmental-specific systems, resulting in a complex organizational structure of non-integrated solutions.
B&P Editori also decided to implement a data warehouse system to consolidate the flow of information coming from the different silos, enabling detailed data analysis and improved business decision-making processes.
It was of fundamental importance to correctly introduce the data warehouse into the network of departmental solutions, implementing the proper support and maintenance flows..
After some initial attempts at manual coding, B&P Editori decided to use iBOLT to orchestrate the flow of information coming from its different business applications and to configure the continuous population of the data warehouse.
Unlike a previous project that took three Visual Basic developers two years to complete, with iBOLT and the help of a consultant from LabSo Informatica—an Italian system integrator experienced in using iBOLT—the first project, using iBOLT to integrate the data warehouse with the cash collection management system, was delivered in just four months.
Following this success, B&P Editori proceeded to integrate the data warehouse with all its departmental solutions, including Accounting, Planning & Control, Production, GEO Marketing, and Electronic Documentation.
B&P Editori selected iBOLT for its flexibility and rapid implementation of strategic integration processes.
iBOLT gave B&P Editori's IT Director the confidence to gradually extend the integration strategy to all the company's departmental solutions, providing an excellent opportunity to define and fine tune all the business processes throughout the organization.
Using iBOLT, B&P Editori has optimized the flow of data between the data warehouse and the various businessapplications, enabling B&P Editori managers to perform real-time data analysis and quickly reach strategic business decisions.
