Magic Software’s End of Sales, Support and Upgrade Schedule for Magic xpi Integration Platform Version 3.0


The End-of-Life Schedule for Magic xpi Version 3.0

With the release of Magic xpi 4.0 and according to Magic Software’s product lifecycle policy, the end-of-life process for Magic xpi 3.0 includes the following milestones:

  1. End-of-Sales – April 2013 (4.0 GA release date)
  2. End-of-Maintenance - June 2015
  3. End-of-Support – End of Q4/2015 (December 2015)
  4. End-of-Extended Sales - June 2016
  5. End-of-Extended Support - End of Q4/2016 (December 2016) 

We therefore recommend you to upgrade as soon as possible to Magic xpi 4.0. Please consult Magic Software offices for any question you may have in that regards.

End-of-Life Schedule for uniPaaS 1.x

According to Magic's product lifecycle policy, the end-of-life milestones for uniPaaS 1.x are:

  1. End-of-sales and End-of-maintenance (end of maturity period) – End Q1/2014 – March 2014.
  2. End-of-support – End Q1/2015
  3. End-of-extended-support and end-of-extended-sales – End Q1/2017

 

Sales and maintenance prices according to milestones:

  1. From April 2014 until March 2015 – Product and maintenance prices remain unchanged.
  2. From April 2015 until March 2016 – Product and maintenance prices are increased by 40%.
  3. From April 2016 until March 2017 – Product and maintenance prices are increased by 60%.
  4. From April 2017 – No new licenses are sold.

 

Support prices according to milestones:

  1. From April 2015 until March 2016 – Support prices are unchanged.
  2. From April 2016 until March 2017 – Support prices are increased by 20%

The End-of-Life Schedule for iBOLT Version 2:

With the release of Magic xpi 4.0 and according to Magic Software’s product lifecycle policy, the end-of-life process for iBOLT V2 includes the following milestones:

  1. End-of-Sales and Support – End of Q4/2010 (December 2010)
  2. End-of-Maintenance - End of Q2/2011 (June 2011)
  3. End-of-Extended Sales – End of Q2/2012 (June 2012)
  4. End-of-Extended Support - End of Q4/2012 (December 2012)
  5. End-of-Life - End of Q4/2012 (December 2012)

V2 Extended Sales Period
Extended sales will be available from January 2011 until the end of December 2012.

  • From January 2011 until end of December 2011, extended sales license fees will remain according to the original price list.
  • From January 2012 until end of June 2012, extended sales license fees will be increased by 40% from the original price list.

V2 Extended Support
Extended Support will be available from January 2011 until the end of December 2012.

  • From January 2011 until end of December 2011, extended support costs will remain according to the original support costs.
  • From January 2012 until end of December 2012, extended support costs will be increased by 20%.

Magic Software’s End of Sales, Support and Upgrade Schedule for eDeveloper Versions 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10



eDeveloper Versions 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10 Background
Magic Software’s eDeveloper Version 6, 7, and 8 were released more than 12 years ago and have been supported with a significant number of Service Packs and Hot fixes during this period.

eDeveloper Version 9 was released in March 2001 and has been updated since then as follows:

Minor versions:
  • December 2001 - Version 9.2
  • February 2002 - Version 9.3
  • April 2003 - Version 9.4
In addition, we have released more than 15 Service Packs and 43 bug-fix versions during the eDeveloper version 9 lifecycle.
eDeveloper Version 10 was released June 30, 2006 and has been updated since then as follows:

Minor version:
  • July 2007 - Version 10.1
In addition, we have released 4 Service Packs and 8 bug-fix versions during the eDeveloper version 10 lifecycle.
 
uniPaaS Version 1 was released July 23, 2008 and replaced eDeveloper Version 10.1 in its life cycle. eDeveloper version 10 reached its End-of-Maintenance immediately with the release of uniPaaS Version 1.
 
 
The End-of-Life Schedule for eDeveloper Versions 6, 7, and 8
According to Magic Software’s product lifecycle policy, the end-of-life process for eDeveloper versions 6, 7, and 8 is as follows:
  • Extended sales and extended support are no longer available.
This means that all sales and support of version 6, 7, and 8 have terminated as of end December 2008.
 
 
The End-of-Life Schedule* for eDeveloper Version 9 
According to Magic Software’s product lifecycle policy, the end-of-life process for eDeveloper 9 includes the following milestones:
 
  1. End-of-Maintenance - End of Q4/2009 (December 2009)
  2. End-of-Sales and Support – End of Q4/2009 (December 2009)
  3. End-of-Extended Sales – End of Q4/2011 (December 2011)
  4. End-of-Extended Support - End of Q4/2012 (December 2012)
  5. End-of-Life - End of Q4/2012 (December 2012)
 
eDeveloper V9.4 Extended Sales Period
Extended sales will be available from January 2010 until the end of December 2011.
  • From January 2010 until end of December 2010, extended sales license fees will remain according to the original price list.
  • From January 2011 until end of December 2011, extended sales license fees will be increased by 40% from the original price list.

eDeveloper V9.4 Extended Support
Extended Support will be available from January 2010 until the end of December 2012.
  • From January 2010 until end of December 2010, extended support costs will remain according to the original support costs.
  • From January 2011 until end of December 2011, extended support costs will be increased by 20%.
  • From January 2012 until end of December 2012, extended support costs will be increased by 40%.

Starting January 1, 2015, the express license for Magic xpa Application Platform will no longer be available for sale.
