Regional Business Development Director Central Europe (m/w)

Location: Ismaning/Munich

The Role of the Business Development Director: 

 

The Business Development Manager will improve Magic´s market position in the integration platform area and achieve financial growth. The Business Development Manager defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key partner relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes new partnerships and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The main task in that role is to identify and close new partnerships with Re-Sellers, OEM, Distributors, ISV´s, SI´s, Referral Partners and Implementation Partners in the Application Integration arena. After closing a new partner there is a handover to the territory partner management to generate revenues together with the partners.

  • Initiate and build partner relationships (including C-level) 
  • Identifying, locating, and closing new partnerships 
  • Handover the new partner to the local sales and partner management team in the territory 
  • Seek for new business partners (OEM, SI´s, ISV´s, Distributors and Referral Partners) in APAC and work closely with assigned technical Pre-Sales resources. 
  • Identify, scope out and evaluate key growth opportunities/markets and existing capabilities, determine appropriate sales and marketing strategy and develop a roadmap that will achieve the objectives in the shortest period of time 
  • Meet and/or exceed quarter quota assignment consistently 
  • Unearth partner insights and determine segmentation, determine value proposition, and put into place sales force structure and sales process strategies 
  • Establish accurate plans and forecasts; prioritize efforts; generate short-term results while holding a long-term perspective to maximize overall territory viability 
  • Maintain market and competitor intelligence and develop proactive strategies to maintain the Company’s competitiveness 
  • Working closely with the marketing, operations, administration and professional services team 
  • Consistently deliver aggressive partner recruiting targets – commitment to the number and to deadlines 
  • Good corporate citizen – two way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources
  • Provide timely and insightful input back to other Business Development Unit functions
  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the Business Development team

 

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s (min) and/or MBA degree 
  • At least 5 years’ experience building up a channel and win new partners and close strategic Alliances 
  • 5+ years channel sales and marketing experience 
  • Very comfortable in the “C” suite with a track record of closing six (or more) figure software licensing deals
  • Forecasting commitments and forecasting accuracy 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and presentation skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment 
  • Able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team and corporate 
  • Relevant software industry experience in IT systems, enterprise management (ERP, CRM, eCommerce) 
  • Use CRM systems (Salesforce) extensively 
  • Background of IT/Software industry – ideally in the Integration-Platform area 
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace 
  • Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done 
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization. 
  • Ability to look at situations from several points of view 
  • Persuasive with details and facts 
  • Fluent German, English and another language 
  • Frequent travel in the region

Technical Sales Consultant (m/w)

The Role of the Technical Sales Consultant: 

As a Technical Sales Consultant you will be working closely together with our Business Development and/or Sales team and support your colleagues with your solid technical and business background. It is your main task managing and supervising the interaction of our partners (Business Development) and customer´s (German branch) specific requests with the unique abilities and advantages of our Magic xpi integration platform. You will represent Magic Software in sessions with our customers and/or partners and their IT departments and their Senior Management. Some of your diversified tasks will also be customer trainings, mentoring, workshops, product demonstrations and implementations of Proof of Concepts. In all these tasks you will be supported by our highly motivated and professional teamInitiate and build partner relationships (including C-level) The Technical Sales Consultant is part of the Business Development and Sales Team.

The Business Development Team is responsible to win new partnerships with Re-Sellers, OEM, Distributors, ISV´s, SI´s, Referral Partners and Implementation Partners in the Integration arena. After closing a new partner there is a handover to the territory partner management to generate revenues together with the partners.

The Business Development Manager will also help manage existing Alliances and ensure they stay satisfied and positive. In this group the Technical Sales consultant is responsible to prepare partner oriented presentations and demonstrations, workshopns and PoC´s. They call on partners, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients’ future needs. The Business Development and Sales Team is responsible to win new and support existing end-customers and partners. In this division the Technical Sales Consultant will prepare and demonstrate customer oriented presentations, doing trainings, mentoring and auditing, doing workshops and PoC´s as part of the sales cycle.


Profile:

Must be an highly sales and also technical oriented person. Able to manage the whole pre-sales cycle from the first meeting, to technical negotiation till signings of contracts and technical partner management of long running partner alliances with managing personal time and productivity. Must have the knowledge of integration tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in computer sciences, commercial information technology or similar education 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in serving services to a channel and win new partners and close strategic Alliances
  • 5+ years channel pre-sales experience

  • Use CRM systems (Salesforce)

  • Proactive acquisition of new technologies
