Regional Business Development Director Central Europe (m/w)

Location: Ismaning/Munich

The Role of the Business Development Director: 

 

The Business Development Manager will improve Magic´s market position in the integration platform area and achieve financial growth. The Business Development Manager defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key partner relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes new partnerships and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The main task in that role is to identify and close new partnerships with Re-Sellers, OEM, Distributors, ISV´s, SI´s, Referral Partners and Implementation Partners in the Application Integration arena. After closing a new partner there is a handover to the territory partner management to generate revenues together with the partners.

  • Initiate and build partner relationships (including C-level) 
  • Identifying, locating, and closing new partnerships 
  • Handover the new partner to the local sales and partner management team in the territory 
  • Seek for new business partners (OEM, SI´s, ISV´s, Distributors and Referral Partners) in APAC and work closely with assigned technical Pre-Sales resources. 
  • Identify, scope out and evaluate key growth opportunities/markets and existing capabilities, determine appropriate sales and marketing strategy and develop a roadmap that will achieve the objectives in the shortest period of time 
  • Meet and/or exceed quarter quota assignment consistently 
  • Unearth partner insights and determine segmentation, determine value proposition, and put into place sales force structure and sales process strategies 
  • Establish accurate plans and forecasts; prioritize efforts; generate short-term results while holding a long-term perspective to maximize overall territory viability 
  • Maintain market and competitor intelligence and develop proactive strategies to maintain the Company’s competitiveness 
  • Working closely with the marketing, operations, administration and professional services team 
  • Consistently deliver aggressive partner recruiting targets – commitment to the number and to deadlines 
  • Good corporate citizen – two way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources
  • Provide timely and insightful input back to other Business Development Unit functions
  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the Business Development team

 

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s (min) and/or MBA degree 
  • At least 5 years’ experience building up a channel and win new partners and close strategic Alliances 
  • 5+ years channel sales and marketing experience 
  • Very comfortable in the “C” suite with a track record of closing six (or more) figure software licensing deals
  • Forecasting commitments and forecasting accuracy 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and presentation skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment 
  • Able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team and corporate 
  • Relevant software industry experience in IT systems, enterprise management (ERP, CRM, eCommerce) 
  • Use CRM systems (Salesforce) extensively 
  • Background of IT/Software industry – ideally in the Integration-Platform area 
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace 
  • Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done 
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization. 
  • Ability to look at situations from several points of view 
  • Persuasive with details and facts 
  • Fluent German, English and another language 
  • Frequent travel in the region

Team Assistant (m/w)

Als Team Assistant unterstützen Sie unser Sales Team sowie die Administration und zeichnen sich verantwortlich für die Koordination aller administrativen Kundenthemen, wie z.B. Lizenzierung, Vertragsverwaltung und Abrechnung von Servicedienstleistungen und Lizenzbestellungen.

Ihre Hauptaufgaben umfassen: 

  • Unterstützung unseres Sales Teams bei der Erstellung von Angeboten
  • Auftragserfassung und Lieferung von Kundenbestellungen
  • Rechnungserstellung aktueller Aufträge sowie jährliche Maintenance Renewal Berechnung inklusive Datenpflege & Abstimmung in Salesforce und SAP B1
  • Verantwortlichkeit der zentralen Dokumentation alle Kundenanfragen und Aufträge, sowie kundenspezifischer Vereinbarungen und Subscription Verträge
  • Überwachung von offenen Posten inkl. Mahnwesen
  • Wöchentliches Umsatzreporting für das Vertriebsteam
  • Aufbereitung entsprechender Reportings für interne Audits und das Magic Head Quarter insbesondere beim Quartals- und Jahresabschluss
  • Im 4-Augen Prinzip (SOX-Anforderungen) stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Aufträge entsprechend der Magic Geschäftspolitik abgewickelt werden (Zahlungsbedingungen, Preise und Rabatte) • Sie reagieren professionell und souverän auf Kundenanfragen • Sie unterstützen bei Hotel- und Flugbuchungen

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung im Customer Service oder Auftragsabwicklung im IT oder Software-Umfeld
  • Sie bringen durch Ihre kaufmännische Ausbildung gute betriebswirtschaftliche Kenntnisse mit und sind motiviert, Neues zu erlernen
  • Selbstständige und gewissenhafte Arbeitsweise
  • Ausgezeichnete Computerkenntnisse in MS Office insbesondere Excel / Google
  • Erfahrungen mit CRM-Systemen (Salesforce) und ERP-Systemen (SAP B1) wünschenswert
  • Sie kommunizieren effektiv und souverän mit allen Ebenen der Organisation
  • Sie unterstützen das gesamte Team bei der Erreichung der betrieblichen Ziele
  • Sie sind ein Teamplayer
  • Ausgezeichnete Deutsch und Englisch-Kenntnisse (in Wort und Schrift)
