Magic Software UK Simplifies Enterprise Mobile

Magic Software Enterprises (UK) Ltd., a subsidiary of Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. (NASDAQ: MGIC), a provider of application platforms and business and process integration solutions, launches a recruitment programme for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) looking to succeed in the enterprise mobile application market using its uniPaaS application platform and iBOLT integration suite.

uniPaaS and iBOLT enable ISVs to quickly and efficiently create rich mobile enterprise applications that are fully integrated with back-office systems. Both uniPaaS and iBOLT use pre-configured and pre-compiled business logic rather than hard-code, minimising the technical coding process and enabling developers to focus on optimising business and process functionality.

Magic Software is looking to recruit 20 new ISVs by the end of 2010 throughout the UK. ISVs will be able to offer mobile solutions in SAP, Salesforce.com, JD Edwards, Microsoft SharePoint, Lotus Notes and MS-Dynamics echo systems. The Magic Software ‘mobile initiative’ will provide training, technical and marketing support.

“Enterprise mobile applications provide an enormous opportunity for the channel,” explains David Akka, Managing Director, UK, Eire, Nordics; Magic Software UK. “Driven by the growth in smart phones and ubiquitous consumer mobile applications, enterprises are increasingly seeing the value of business-critical mobile apps for remote working and as an opportunity to reduce costs. uniPaaS provides ISVs with a means to capitalise on this market demand for a minimal outlay and without the need for specialist technical knowledge.”

Mobile application development for enterprises raises numerous challenges specifically: different Client and Server side development teams; multiple smartphone platforms; smaller displays; and limited input mechanisms. The application must also be lightweight enough to fit the limited memory and processing power of the phone or device, but powerful enough to enable workers to complete their essential tasks.

uniPaaS addresses the complexity of mobile application development by pre-compiling and pre-configuring the labour-intensive code-writing process resulting in a faster development cycle. Rich Internet Applications developed using uniPaaS are browser-independent, to avoid security issues, and can be efficiently integrated with back-office systems to presents various enterprise systems data on a single mobile handset screen.

Interested ISVs are invited to contact Magic Software to find out more.

Some of Magic Software’s ISVs in the UK include Safe Computing, Topaz, FactoryMaster and Corero. Channel partners are entitled to receive Magic Software’s Total Customer Care Programme, providing training, strategic guidelines and marketing support.
