Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. (NASDAQ: MGIC), a global provider of application platforms and business and process integration solutions, today announced it is hosting two one-day seminars called “Get IT Together; Creating Business Results from Information Technology.” The unique, one-day seminar will provide practical guidance for improving business productivity and reducing costs supported by customers’ real life implementations.

The Get IT Together seminars will take place on Tuesday, November 10, at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., and on Thursday, November 12, at the San Diego Marriott Resort Del Mar in San Diego, Calif.

60% of companies in a recent poll were found to suffer from marginally successful technology projects or outright project failures. Half of this number experienced project ‘runaways’ which take too long to deliver, consume too much budget, or under-deliver on functionality. The seminars will help CEOs, CIOs and IT managers evaluate and improve IT efficiencies, and help ensure that their software systems and IT departments deliver meaningful business results in challenging economic times. For more information, please visit the Get IT Together website.

Regev Yativ, President and CEO of Magic Software Americas will present the keynote address, ‘Why a Focus on Innovation and Business Delivery is Essential to Recovery and Growth’. Magic Software customers such as Paul Leone, CIO of adidas Canada, will present on how uniPaaS and iBOLT have helped them to better achieve their business goals. Eyal Pfeifel, Magic Software’s newly appointed CTO, will talk about the company’s technology vision and roadmap, including Rich Internet Applications (RIAs), mobile applications and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Sessions will also highlight best practices for integrating IT systems with applications like Microsoft® SharePoint and IBM Lotus Domino, and simplifying integration of ERP and CRM systems like SAP, JD Edwards and Salesforce.com. The ‘Get IT Together’ seminar will demonstrate how to better achieve business goals using a new breed of application platform and integration technologies. Attendees can expect to learn:

  • How to ensure your current goals answer future business needs by using a graphical, intuitive, code-free approach that makes current projects easy to understand and future changes easy to implement.
  • How to align IT department objectives with overall business goals by eliminating much of the hard coding from application development and business integration.
  • How to better streamline the application development process by eliminating multiple programming languages and multiple development teams.
  • How to more effectively deliver IT projects by providing all aspects of development and deployment in a single end-to-end tool.
  • How to make your business applications work together by integrating on-premise and on-demand applications to provide a full view of business activity.
