Salesforce.com is one of the most popular and widely-used sales force automation software packages to come along in the past several years—and it certainly has set the stage as a model for Software-as-a-Service applications.
Typically, however, Salesforce.com implementation has been limited to the business unit or department level. The perceived difficulty of integrating Salesforce.com with other core applications in the enterprise means that businesses are not mining the full potential from their Salesforce.com investment. The result is that users of Salesforce.com may have valuable data that originates from their own slice of the business— but without integration they cannot see a true picture of the overall business in a single view.
If it had not been for Magic, we would have had to get rid of the tools our users were familiar with and develop our own in-house system—just to achieve integration.
