Magic Software Enterprises (UK) Ltd., a subsidiary of Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. (NASDAQ: MGIC), a global provider of cloud and on-premise enabled application platform and business integration solutions, announced that one of its major independent software vendors (ISV), FactoryMaster Ltd, has won Best Business Value Award in the National ICT Excellence Awards 2010. The company was recognised for its FactoryMaster Material Requirements Planning (MRP) manufacturing software solution, which is based on Magic Software’s uniPaaS application platform.

Darran Neary, technical director at FactoryMaster said: “We were able to demonstrate ‘business value’ through our rapid growth during this tough economic period. uniPaaS gives flexibility to our software infrastructure and allows us the ability to offer different modes of deployment according to customer needs. uniPaaS has enabled us to extend our global reach as we can successfully enter completely new vertical markets, both nationally and internationally, in a very short period of time.”

Using Magic Software’s uniPaaS application platform, FactoryMaster’s software provides flexible and intuitive solutions to manufacturing, warehousing and wholesale industries. The company has seen substantial success in the last quarter due to moves into new business areas, including food and drink manufacturers, process engineering, and electronics manufacturers.

David Akka, Managing Director, UK, Eire & Nordic, Magic Software Enterprises (UK) Ltd comments: “We are delighted for FactoryMaster to have won this prestigious award. It is a great endorsement of the flexibility of uniPaaS that they are able to respond so quickly to changes in market demands for new technology platforms and that they can compete successfully on a global level.”

Magic Software’s uniPaaS uses a metadata-driven engine that allows users to develop, run and maintain a combination of deployment modes, including desktop, client/server, HTML Web Applications, mobile and Web 2.0 RIA, for the cost and time-consumption of a single development effort and code-base.

Magic Software is encouraging ISVs/developers to pre-register for uniPaaS Jet, a free full application platform that is coming very soon at http://web.magicsoftware.com/coming-soon-unipaas-jet–free-single-user-edition-application-platform/.
